Privacy notice
Last updated 23 October 2026. Plain-language notice, not legal advice.
Cardholders (you)
- We store your email address, the details you put on your cards, and any images you upload. Email is used only for sign-in links and service notices. When you sign up or sign in we also record the time, IP address and browser, which the service operator can see for security and to understand usage.
- If you turn on your handle@far.cx address, mail sent to it is forwarded to the address you choose by our forwarding provider (ImprovMX). We don't store the mail; the provider handles it under its own policy.
- No advertising, no selling data, no third-party trackers. Login emails are sent via an email delivery provider.
- Deleting your account removes your cards, uploads and visitor logs.
People who open a card (or the far.cx home page / demo)
- To show the card's owner how it is used, each page records your IP address, approximate location (city level), device, browser, language, and which links you tap. No cookies or local storage are used.
- Only the card's owner can see these entries (and, in cases of abuse, the service administrator). They are deleted after 180 days.
- Every card has an i button with a Forget me link that immediately deletes all entries recorded for your IP address on that card owner's site, and stops further recording for that visit.
- Owners may also show an optional "last seen" city based on their own phone; this is about the owner, not visitors.
